Nurturing Mums & Bubs would firstly like to thank you for joining our play sessions. Please take some time to read through these Terms and Conditions. By attending to our sessions you acknowledge and accept the all of the following:
- Supervision and responsibility
These are not drop-off sessions. Each parent/guardian is solely responsible for bub/bubs and their adequate supervision while the sessions occur. This includes: guiding through the activities, ensuring adequate interaction with the resources, as well as interactions with other children. There will be small parts, potential allergens and loose parts.
- Assumption of risk
By participating in our indoor and outdoor play sessions you acknowledge the potential exposure to risk for you and your child/children. The specific risks vary depending on the environment of the session and the resources present at the time, ranging from minor to major injuries. Such may be caused by other participants, elements of nature or accidents. By attending to our sessions, you acknowledge that you are responsible for the safety of your child, ensuring active supervision while they play and engage with the activities that are adequate to their skill level.
- Appropriate clothing
It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure their bub is dressed accordingly to the weather and activity of the day. Children will need to be dressed in comfortable clothes, that can get dirty and that are sun smart if attending an outdoor session. A hat, sunscreen and enclosed shoes are always recommended for both types of sessions as our indoor venue has a playground and outdoor spaces that may be used.
- Dangerous weather conditions
Our indoor sessions can be conducted safely without major weather disruptions. Our outdoor sessions can be impacted by severe weather. Nurturing Mums and Bubs has the right to cancel activities in the event of severe weather conditions. This will result in a free make up session for those mums and bubs that were booked. In wet weather, our outdoor sessions are likely to happen as muddy puddles are great teachers. When that is the case, parent/guardian and children will be dressed appropriately to ensure they are protected from the elements. A change of clothes is always recommended.
- Responsibility for personal belongings
Each family is responsible for their personal belongings. Nurturing Mums and Bubs is not to be held accountable for missing or lost items.
- Cancellations and rescheduling
- If the session is cancelled due to unforeseen severe weather, facilitator’s absence or venue maintenance; Nurturing Mums and Bubs will offer a make up session without additional charge
- If a session is cut short due to a sudden change in weather, unfortunately, we will not be able to issue a refund or make up session.
- 24 hour cancellation/rescheduling policy in place for casual sessions. Shorter notice will mean we will not be able to issue a refund or make up session
- A casual session can be rescheduled with 24 hours notice. This can be done online without additional costs.
- Term/holiday sessions booking cancellations due to child illness can be made up if there is a medical certificate and availability in other sessions.
- Allergies and anaphylaxis
We are allergy aware. Please advise us at the time of booking of any allergies your child might have, this might help us plan or guide you in the direction of the safest activities for your child. We can cater for this and minimise the risk of exposure, although we cannot guarantee all items will be free of traces.
- Child illness
We kindly ask parents/guardians to skip their attendance if their child is showing any symptoms of illness.
- Photos and videos for social media:
If taking photos, please be mindful of other families as they might not want their child in your photos/videos. We will be taking photos and videos during our sessions with your consent. They might be used for our website or social media accounts. If you do not give consent, please let us know at the time of booking or during the session. In most instances we can blur faces or use images of children’s hands only.
- Change of Terms and Conditions
This document will change without notice to maintain relevance and be updates as Nurturing Mums and Bubs evolves. Please read it periodically when attending term/holiday sessions.
